The Canadian Football League is proud to continue its commitment to staging a Climate Friendly Grey Cup game.  Vancouver is ranked as the greenest city in Canada, the second greenest city in North America, and is a leader in fight against climate change.  The CFL recognizes that it is important to do our part and reduce the environmental impact of staging the 99th Grey Cup game.  The CFL and Offsetters worked together to understand the emissions associated with staging Canada's largest single day professional sporting event, and offset those emmissions with an investment in high quality offset projects. .

2011 CFL Green Drive Efforts:

    Stadium electrical and heat consumption
  • Offset those greenhouse gas emissions through an investment in carbon offset s sorced from Canadian renewable energy and energy efficienct projects
  • Reduce carbon emissions by encouraging our fans and CFL staff to use public transportation
